In the year 2015, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana was started by the central government. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is a life insurance scheme. In which the beneficiary has to pay a premium of Rs 436 annually. And in case of death of the scheme holder due to any accident or mishap, Rs 2 lakh is given to the family members.
How to avail the benefit of the scheme?
Any Indian citizen between the age of 18 to 50 years can take advantage of this scheme run by the government. Apart from Indian citizens, non-resident Indians who have a bank account in India can also take advantage of this scheme.

These documents are necessary
To apply for Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, the applicant must have some important documents along with the scheme form like Aadhar card, PAN card, photo, active bank account and mobile number. After applying for the scheme, the installment will be auto debited from your account. The policy will be renewed every year on 31st May.
